The Victory in Europe 81st Anniversary commemorative service is to be held at 11:30am on Saturday 9th May 2026 in the Memorial Forecourt of the Limbless Soldiers’ Building and is the only annual recognition in Queensland. The timings, of both this event and the Battle of the Coral Sea, have been adjusted in 2026 and 2027 to avoid conflict.
A wreath will be laid by the President RSL South Eastern District on behalf of the District and all it’s sub-branches. Individual wreaths or tributes can be laid by any attendee towards the end of the wreath laying phase of the ceremony.
