About Us

The RSL South Eastern District are committed to promoting practices for veterans and their families to empower them to better manage their wellbeing and support.
The Veteran & Family Wellbeing Services, was known as Veteran Wellbeing Coordination Centre (VWCC) a dedicated Veterans Hub located at Greenslopes Private Hospital. Their name has since been changed as of March 2026.

Our Mateship Visits

Our services are built on the spirit of mateship, connection, and practical support.
We embody the spirit of mateship through our volunteer bedside visits and the operation of our on-site wellbeing centre.
We have a team of volunteers who provide visits inside Greenslopes Private Hospital, Monday to Friday. Our volunteers check in on patients to see if they need anything, share a coffee, and conversation, and deliver care packs and resources such as, DVA and Aged Care information, ADF newspapers, magazines, puzzles, and other materials, to help ease the isolation veterans may experience in hospital. Visits also include St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital on Mondays only.
Our volunteers Provide visits in the hospital all morning-afternoon and we have a Advocate available in the afternoons.
